Weekend plans?

Anyone do anything fun?

Today I went to watch a few of my kids wrestle and then J and I went to Denver.  We went to IKEA to shop around for kitchens.  We basically decided on a house and the kitchen needs to be completely redone.  We went to the mall too. It is quite the luxury when you live in the middle of no where like we do.  Didn't buy anything but it was nice to walk around.

Home for a quiet evening.

Tomorrow-cleaning all day.

Re: Weekend plans?

  • Today we went to my moms, we were going to go see a movie but were just too tired. I'm kinda hoping maybe I can talk DH into taking me out to dinner tonight so we can get out and of course bring some back for mom and grandma. We also moved around my mom's bed to that it would be easier for her to get up and get to the restroom when needed.

The high point of today was mom's wheelchair and walker was delivered and she was able to walk with the walker! Woohoo!! its nice progress!

Right now I'm doing some online training for work, I was supposed to get it done yesterday but didn't realize the doctors would take so long!

Tomorrow I'm getting up and taking the early shift to help my mom out that way DH can sleep in some. He's going to take the evening shift so I can get home and get into bed by 8. I have to get up around 445 on Monday to get to my mom's to get her ready to go in for surgery.

After all this stuff calms down DH and I decided we don't need just a date night, we need a date weekend! LOL

She is fully aware and ready for all the baby sitting coming her way! ;o) She's family, it's just what you do.

  • Agreed.  Family is really important to me too.  I miss them.
  • Today I had a busy work day. I did a gender reveal photo shoot which I thought was so cool. Then went for drinks with a friend. D is super grumpy because I went out. I was home by nine. Geez. Baby climbed out of his crib for the first time this morning. Scary! We took the side off tonight. I don't want him falling.

Tomorrow we are making homemade beer and going to celebrate my brothers 16th bday at pf Chang's. I sure hope my kids behave through dinner. They have been crazy lately.

= ) I agree! Family is super important to me as well! In fact, in December my grandma had knee replacement surgery. My entire family really bonded together and we all took turns and shifts staying at her house, going to different places to pay her bills, bringing or cooking dinner for her etc. etc. It was really nice to see.

As far as my weekend went:

Friday: Worked early in the morning. Ran my butt off the entire time. Got home, ordered pizza and totally vegged out on the couch for most of the day. Later in the evening I finally did some dishes and picked up.

Saturday: Relaxed at home with T and my kitties until later at night. Then we went out to Buffalo Wild Wings and the bar with one my friends that I haven't seen a few months.

Sunday: Just relaxing this morning. Will probably head out to T's parent's house here shortly to visit with them for a bit. Then I have to work the rest of the afternoon. But I'm working with my favorite person, so it's not quite so bad.

I could really really get used this schedule and having Saturday off. Sadly, it's back to the real world and my usual schedule this week. BOO.

     01.21.2012---> I married a redhead I'm crazy about.

04.2016: IT'S A BOY! Elias Alan is due!

WDW trips: 05/14 (1st trip! Art of Animation; Little Mermaid), 05/15 (Pop Century!). DL Trips: 12/15

  • Jen- I love Ikea. I'll be going there sometime before the baby is born to get items for her nursery.

Amity- You are so nice for taking care of your mother like that! I agree family is important.

Amber- I love Buffalo Wild Wings. We are actually getting one around here. It should be open by April. Yippee!

As far as my weekend, we went to celebrate my sister's birthday at Bonefish Grill on Friday night. Yesterday, I went to the gym with my friend and had a great workout. I even got her to use the pool with me. We did kickboarding laps and boy did it feel good!

DH had a friend come over last night. He's super nice. He agreed that he will put together all of our baby furniture when the time comes. I am so happy because we wern't sure who was going to do that. DH and I can't put things together to save our lives!

  • Friday into Saturday one of DH's friends came over to spend the night with us. We took him home Saturday and went straight to visit DH's family. I was so excited because I got to share all my purchases for Abigail with his mom. Then I went to visit his cousin who is due April 23rd and talked baby stuff with her. Today I plan on sewing the matress cover. We are also looking at two houses to rent today. I hope to pick one and know exactly where we will be moving into next month. At some point later today we'll head home and relax before the week begins again.

  • Sounds like everyone had an exciting weekend.

I did nothign on Friday, since J was at work and no friends were free. Saturday I went to a craft fair of sorts at my high school. It is called the art event, and has lots of craft stands where kids of all ages can make kinds of art, and there are vendors, music and food. It is run entirely by the high schoolers as a fundrasier.

We then went out to dinner to a Mediterranean restaurant for J's uncle's birthday.

Sunday was basically a lazy day. Spent part of the day in bed with J, cause I never get to do that anymore, and then I worked on FIL's surprise Bday party invite.

  • Yep weekend is over but my plans were pretty basic.  Cleaning, lounging around, dinner at MIL's on Saturday night. Nothing too crazy for us.  :)
